The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.
For great is Your mercy toward me, And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.
For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, When it falls suddenly upon them.
The pains of death surrounded me, And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow.
Hear me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good; Turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.
Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul;
