The Lord thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.

Have you an arm like God? Or can you thunder with a voice like His?

At Your rebuke they fled; At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.

Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.

Let burning coals fall upon them; Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

He also gave up their cattle to the hail, And their flocks to fiery lightning.

Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.

So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, so very heavy that there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even in the outer court, like the voice of Almighty God when He speaks.

Before Him went pestilence, And fever followed at His feet.

Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.”

They shall be wasted with hunger, Devoured by pestilence and bitter destruction; I will also send against them the teeth of beasts, With the poison of serpents of the dust.

And it happened, as they fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.

And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!

And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.

Now as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But the Lord thundered with a loud thunder upon the Philistines that day, and so confused them that they were overcome before Israel.
