He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times!

Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.

I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

and My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

“If you lend money to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him interest.

The righteous will never be removed, But the wicked will not inhabit the earth.

A man is not established by wickedness, But the root of the righteous cannot be moved.

He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.

He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gain of oppressions, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil:

Who has withdrawn his hand from the poor And not received usury or increase, But has executed My judgments And walked in My statutes— He shall not die for the iniquity of his father; He shall surely live!

Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive.

If he has not exacted usury Nor taken any increase, But has withdrawn his hand from iniquity And executed true judgment between man and man;

In you they take bribes to shed blood; you take usury and increase; you have made profit from your neighbors by extortion, and have forgotten Me,” says the Lord God.

That they may successfully do evil with both hands— The prince asks for gifts, The judge seeks a bribe, And the great man utters his evil desire; So they scheme together.

and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

“When you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it; for the Lord your God will surely require it of you, and it would be sin to you.

Here I am. Witness against me before the Lord and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I received any bribe with which to blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”
