Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers, Nor did I rejoice; I sat alone because of Your hand, For You have filled me with indignation.

But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

My son, do not walk in the way with them, Keep your foot from their path;

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.

He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil.

Indeed their prosperity is not in their hand; The counsel of the wicked is far from me.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Let not my soul enter their council; Let not my honor be united to their assembly; For in their anger they slew a man, And in their self-will they hamstrung an ox.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.

Good understanding gains favor, But the way of the unfaithful is hard.

Depart from me, you evildoers, For I will keep the commandments of my God!

Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times!

My foot stands in an even place; In the congregations I will bless the Lord.

To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things,

So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels.

The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble.

Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble.

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.”

O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You!

through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Happy are the people who are in such a state; Happy are the people whose God is the Lord!

Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge.

For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,

And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him.

Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, The shield of your help And the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, And you shall tread down their high places.”

“But I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

Judgments are prepared for scoffers, And beatings for the backs of fools.

Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother advised him to do wickedly.

He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

And you may eat every animal with cloven hooves, having the hoof split into two parts, and that chews the cud, among the animals.
