Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.

Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase.

“It is good for nothing,” cries the buyer; But when he has gone his way, then he boasts.

An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning Will not be blessed at the end.

He who sows iniquity will reap sorrow, And the rod of his anger will fail.

Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me;
