A violent man entices his neighbor, And leads him in a way that is not good.

For this reason he was hired, that I should be afraid and act that way and sin, so that they might have cause for an evil report, that they might reproach me.

The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.

The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.

A perverse man sows strife, And a whisperer separates the best of friends.

He winks his eye to devise perverse things; He purses his lips and brings about evil.

Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways;

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;

Saul also sent messengers to David’s house to watch him and to kill him in the morning. And Michal, David’s wife, told him, saying, “If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.”

Then Saul said to Michal, “Why have you deceived me like this, and sent my enemy away, so that he has escaped?” And Michal answered Saul, “He said to me, ‘Let me go! Why should I kill you?’ ”
