A perverse man sows strife, And a whisperer separates the best of friends.

A fool’s lips enter into contention, And his mouth calls for blows.

The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles, And they go down into the inmost body.

An angry man stirs up strife, And a furious man abounds in transgression.

For as the churning of milk produces butter, And wringing the nose produces blood, So the forcing of wrath produces strife.

Perversity is in his heart, He devises evil continually, He sows discord.
