The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied from above.

As he loved cursing, so let it come to him; As he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him.

A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, And the recompense of a man’s hands will be rendered to him.

No grave trouble will overtake the righteous, But the wicked shall be filled with evil.

The heart knows its own bitterness, And a stranger does not share its joy.

The simple believes every word, But the prudent considers well his steps.

Why has this people slidden back, Jerusalem, in a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit, They refuse to return.

Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.

“For Israel is stubborn Like a stubborn calf; Now the Lord will let them forage Like a lamb in open country.

Those who have turned back from following the Lord, And have not sought the Lord, nor inquired of Him.”

but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;
