Every prudent man acts with knowledge, But a fool lays open his folly.

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.

Even when a fool walks along the way, He lacks wisdom, And he shows everyone that he is a fool.

For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.

Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

A proud and haughty man— “Scoffer” is his name; He acts with arrogant pride.

A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.

Please, let not my lord regard this scoundrel Nabal. For as his name is, so is he: Nabal is his name, and folly is with him! But I, your maidservant, did not see the young men of my lord whom you sent.

Now therefore, know and consider what you will do, for harm is determined against our master and against all his household. For he is such a scoundrel that one cannot speak to him.”

A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.

Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding, But what is in the heart of fools is made known.

The words of his mouth begin with foolishness, And the end of his talk is raving madness.
