As righteousness leads to life, So he who pursues evil pursues it to his own death.

The labor of the righteous leads to life, The wages of the wicked to sin.

The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.

In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death.

But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death.”

In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.

Now therefore, thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’ ” So Elijah departed.

Then he said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of His word? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’ ”

He who follows righteousness and mercy Finds life, righteousness, and honor.
