The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.

Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.

For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.

So Hezekiah rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the upper tombs of the sons of David; and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem honored him at his death. Then Manasseh his son reigned in his place.

The womb should forget him, The worm should feed sweetly on him; He should be remembered no more, And wickedness should be broken like a tree.

The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold.

“For I will rise up against them,” says the Lord of hosts, “And cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, And offspring and posterity,” says the Lord.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.

My enemies speak evil of me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”
