“Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.”

“Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.” And they fell on their faces.

Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.

For the Lord had said to Moses, “Say to the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. I could come up into your midst in one moment and consume you. Now therefore, take off your ornaments, that I may know what to do to you.’ ”

Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”

Their quiver is like an open tomb; They are all mighty men.

Then the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.

Now if You kill these people as one man, then the nations which have heard of Your fame will speak, saying,

I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.”

So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking.

Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people.

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”

And the Lord said to Moses, “Bring Aaron’s rod back before the Testimony, to be kept as a sign against the rebels, that you may put their complaints away from Me, lest they die.”
