Then I said to them, “You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.”

Moreover I will make you a waste and a reproach among the nations that are all around you, in the sight of all who pass by.

You make us a byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the peoples.

So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, And all the kings of the earth Your glory.

In the day when your walls are to be built, In that day the decree shall go far and wide.
