The best of them is like a brier; The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge; The day of your watchman and your punishment comes; Now shall be their perplexity.

What will you do in the day of punishment, And in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?

For while tangled like thorns, And while drunken like drunkards, They shall be devoured like stubble fully dried.

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;

but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.
