So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified.

But they shouted, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”

So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this Man.”

And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”

So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!”

Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.

Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.”

And though they found no cause for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death.

But when they found out that he was a Jew, all with one voice cried out for about two hours, “Great is Diana of the Ephesians!”

For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
