Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.

He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.

Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.

He covets greedily all day long, But the righteous gives and does not spare.

He who has a generous eye will be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor.

Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, For you do not know what evil will be on the earth.

When I applied my heart to know wisdom and to see the business that is done on earth, even though one sees no sleep day or night,

“So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you.

Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either.

And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
