Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”

Now in the time of his distress King Ahaz became increasingly unfaithful to the Lord. This is that King Ahaz.

“But after they had rest, They again did evil before You. Therefore You left them in the hand of their enemies, So that they had dominion over them; Yet when they returned and cried out to You, You heard from heaven; And many times You delivered them according to Your mercies,

The Lord has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death.

For all His judgments were before me, And I did not put away His statutes from me.

And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Have mercy on me, O Lord! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,

“The Lord was ready to save me; Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments All the days of our life, in the house of the Lord.”

When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place.

Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.

She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.
