Do you intend to rebuke my words, And the speeches of a desperate one, which are as wind?

Then they said to one another, “We are truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us.”

My heart was hot within me; While I was musing, the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue:

If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad face and wear a smile,’

“Even today my complaint is bitter; My hand is listless because of my groaning.

Take heed, do not turn to iniquity, For you have chosen this rather than affliction.
