Oh, that I knew where I might find Him, That I might come to His seat!
Oh, that one might plead for a man with God, As a man pleads for his neighbor!
But I would speak to the Almighty, And I desire to reason with God.
Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,
O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, Do it for Your name’s sake; For our backslidings are many, We have sinned against You.
Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You; The desire of our soul is for Your name And for the remembrance of You.
“Even today my complaint is bitter; My hand is listless because of my groaning.
I would present my case before Him, And fill my mouth with arguments.
My friends scorn me; My eyes pour out tears to God.
Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior!
