Isaiah 49:13

Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted.

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; And let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”

Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars;

The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.

Let heaven and earth praise Him, The seas and everything that moves in them.

You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.

You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand.

And in that day you will say: “O Lord, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.

For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will still choose Israel, and settle them in their own land. The strangers will be joined with them, and they will cling to the house of Jacob.

Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, And glorified Himself in Israel.

Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing, Declare, proclaim this, Utter it to the end of the earth; Say, “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob!”

But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me.”

“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?

For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.

Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.

“For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you.

With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the Lord, your Redeemer.

“For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

“Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.

Then the heavens and the earth and all that is in them Shall sing joyously over Babylon; For the plunderers shall come to her from the north,” says the Lord.

‘Thus says the Lord God: “The whole earth will rejoice when I make you desolate.

Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus,
