Isaiah 39:4

New King James Version

And he said, “What have they seen in your house?” So Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”

If I have covered my transgressions as Adam, By hiding my iniquity in my bosom,

Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.

He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah, and said to him, “What did these men say, and from where did they come to you?” So Hezekiah said, “They came to me from a far country, from Babylon.”

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord of hosts:

O My mountain in the field, I will give as plunder your wealth, all your treasures, And your high places of sin within all your borders.

Now Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
