The rest of all the acts of Asa, all his might, all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

They are deeply corrupted, As in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.

and from the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its common-land, Geba with its common-land,

And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and valiant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched.

So the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul and told the news in the hearing of the people. And all the people lifted up their voices and wept.

Saul, Jonathan his son, and the people present with them remained in Gibeah of Benjamin. But the Philistines encamped in Michmash.

Saul chose for himself three thousand men of Israel. Two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in the mountains of Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin. The rest of the people he sent away, every man to his tent.

And the garrison of the Philistines went out to the pass of Michmash.

And Saul was sitting in the outskirts of Gibeah under a pomegranate tree which is in Migron. The people who were with him were about six hundred men.

Between the passes, by which Jonathan sought to go over to the Philistines’ garrison, there was a sharp rock on one side and a sharp rock on the other side. And the name of one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.

The front of one faced northward opposite Michmash, and the other southward opposite Gibeah.

Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house at Gibeah of Saul.

But he always returned to Ramah, for his home was there. There he judged Israel, and there he built an altar to the Lord.
