Now go, write it before them on a tablet, And note it on a scroll, That it may be for time to come, Forever and ever:

Moreover the Lord said to me, “Take a large scroll, and write on it with a man’s pen concerning Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.

“Thus speaks the Lord God of Israel, saying: ‘Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you.

“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts.

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.

Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech—

And you shall write very plainly on the stones all the words of this law.”

“Now therefore, write down this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.

Therefore Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the children of Israel.

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”

Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”
