So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

For destruction from God is a terror to me, And because of His magnificence I cannot endure.

And when her mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.

But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the Lord; and be sure your sin will find you out.

not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife; Whoever touches her shall not be innocent.

And I said, “Should such a man as I flee? And who is there such as I who would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in!”

‘The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death.

You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please, put your hand under my thigh,

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.”

But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.

And Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I offended you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done.”

So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.

“You shall not commit adultery.

And I find more bitter than death The woman whose heart is snares and nets, Whose hands are fetters. He who pleases God shall escape from her, But the sinner shall be trapped by her.
