Then Rachel said, “God has judged my case; and He has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan.
O Lord, You have seen how I am wronged; Judge my case.
Vindicate me, O God, And plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!
Vindicate me, O Lord my God, according to Your righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.
“Therefore I will scatter them like stubble That passes away by the wind of the wilderness.
So I got a sash according to the word of the Lord, and put it around my waist.
And of Dan he said: “Dan is a lion’s whelp; He shall leap from Bashan.”
The son of Dan was Hushim.
the sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s maidservant, were Dan and Naphtali;
And Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son.
And Rachel’s maid Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.
From the children of Dan, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers’ house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
and these shall stand on Mount Ebal to curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
