This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

Therefore, Lord God of Israel, now keep what You promised Your servant David my father, saying, ‘You shall not fail to have a man sit before Me on the throne of Israel, only if your sons take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as you have walked before Me.’

Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.

After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters.

But he said to me, ‘The Lord, before whom I walk, will send His angel with you and prosper your way; and you shall take a wife for my son from my family and from my father’s house.

Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you.

And may God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may release your other brother and Benjamin. If I am bereaved, I am bereaved!”

So He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there.

that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

Then Jacob said to Joseph: “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me,

The utterance of him who hears the words of God, And has the knowledge of the Most High, Who sees the vision of the Almighty, Who falls down, with eyes wide open:

He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.
