So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing. So Moses’ anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.

“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke; and you shall put them in the ark.’

‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
