Or else, if you refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your territory.

So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, “Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

And they shall cover the face of the earth, so that no one will be able to see the earth; and they shall eat the residue of what is left, which remains to you from the hail, and they shall eat every tree which grows up for you out of the field.

So I say to you, let My son go that he may serve Me. But if you refuse to let him go, indeed I will kill your son, your firstborn.” ’ ”

Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.’ ”

So he said, “Tomorrow.” And he said, “Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.

I will make a difference between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall be.” ’ ”

Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause very heavy hail to rain down, such as has not been in Egypt since its founding until now.

Then the Lord appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow the Lord will do this thing in the land.”

The locusts have no king, Yet they all advance in ranks;

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.

“You shall carry much seed out to the field but gather little in, for the locust shall consume it.

Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
