Esther 8:1

New King James Version

On that day King Ahasuerus gave Queen Esther the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told how he was related to her.

Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them.

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion Gathers it for him who will pity the poor.

But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’
