For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.

So Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

For he had dominion over all the region on this side of the River from Tiphsah even to Gaza, namely over all the kings on this side of the River; and he had peace on every side all around him.

Now You have been pleased to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever; for You have blessed it, O Lord, and it shall be blessed forever.”

So he reigned over all the kings from the River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.

There have also been mighty kings over Jerusalem, who have ruled over all the region beyond the River; and tax, tribute, and custom were paid to them.

Therefore You delivered them into the hand of their enemies, Who oppressed them; And in the time of their trouble, When they cried to You, You heard from heaven; And according to Your abundant mercies You gave them deliverers who saved them From the hand of their enemies.

A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.

The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives.

He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.

The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.

But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

only if you carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today.

He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
