Daniel 6:10

New King James Version

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.

whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple:

“When Your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever You send them, and when they pray to the Lord toward the city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name,

And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the Lord, that he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

At the evening sacrifice I arose from my fasting; and having torn my garment and my robe, I fell on my knees and spread out my hands to the Lord my God.

And I said, “Should such a man as I flee? And who is there such as I who would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in!”

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.

Be merciful to me, O Lord, For I cry to You all day long.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

So they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.”

And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,

Then I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.’

And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.”

“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,

The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour.

For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.

But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

When we had come to the end of those days, we departed and went on our way; and they all accompanied us, with wives and children, till we were out of the city. And we knelt down on the shore and prayed.

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

“Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”

But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.

Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
