and stayed three months. And when the Jews plotted against him as he was about to sail to Syria, he decided to return through Macedonia.

Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. And the hand of our God was upon us, and He delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambush along the road.

‘For among My people are found wicked men; They lie in wait as one who sets snares; They set a trap; They catch men.

and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city for some days.

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

So Paul still remained a good while. Then he took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and Priscilla and Aquila were with him. He had his hair cut off at Cenchrea, for he had taken a vow.

When these things were accomplished, Paul purposed in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

After the uproar had ceased, Paul called the disciples to himself, embraced them, and departed to go to Macedonia.

serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews;

Now when he had gone over that region and encouraged them with many words, he came to Greece

When we had sighted Cyprus, we passed it on the left, sailed to Syria, and landed at Tyre; for there the ship was to unload her cargo.

asking a favor against him, that he would summon him to Jerusalem—while they lay in ambush along the road to kill him.

And in this confidence I intended to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit—

in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears.

Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
