Acts 20:1

After the uproar had ceased, Paul called the disciples to himself, embraced them, and departed to go to Macedonia.

Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. Then Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them.

And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city for some days.

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

When these things were accomplished, Paul purposed in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

But Paul went down, fell on him, and embracing him said, “Do not trouble yourselves, for his life is in him.”

Now when he had gone over that region and encouraged them with many words, he came to Greece

and stayed three months. And when the Jews plotted against him as he was about to sail to Syria, he decided to return through Macedonia.

Then they all wept freely, and fell on Paul’s neck and kissed him,

in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

Now I will come to you when I pass through Macedonia (for I am passing through Macedonia).

For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears.

Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
