And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak?
Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”
Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious;
Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You are permitted to speak for yourself.” So Paul stretched out his hand and answered for himself:
Then Agrippa said to Festus, “I also would like to hear the man myself.” “Tomorrow,” he said, “you shall hear him.”
And after some days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean.”
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
However, some men joined him and believed, among them Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
