Acts 13:29

Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb.

Now when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,

Now behold, there was a man named Joseph, a council member, a good and just man.

Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before.

Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled them in condemning Him.

Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;

Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come—

to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.

The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.

and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
