Then they served it to the men to eat. Now it happened, as they were eating the stew, that they cried out and said, “Man of God, there is death in the pot!” And they could not eat it.

Now therefore, please forgive my sin only this once, and entreat the Lord your God, that He may take away from me this death only.”

Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.

they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Now this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
