There is a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband.

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,

If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows.

Honor widows who are really widows.

I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day,

For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands,

The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”
