Then Saul built an altar to the Lord. This was the first altar that he built to the Lord.

Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house at Gibeah of Saul.

Then Elkanah went to his house at Ramah. But the child ministered to the Lord before Eli the priest.

Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land.

Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah,

And they answered them and said, “Yes, there he is, just ahead of you. Hurry now; for today he came to this city, because there is a sacrifice of the people today on the high place.
