Zechariah 13:9

This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’ ”

Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

You have established your people Israel as your very own forever, and you, Lord, have become their God.

There is a mine for silver and a place where gold is refined.

Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.

My beloved is mine and I am his; he browses among the lilies.

You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me,” declares the Lord.

Then the people of Israel will no longer stray from me, nor will they defile themselves anymore with all their sins. They will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the Sovereign Lord.’ ”
