Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge.

Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”

For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,” also said, “You shall not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.

Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: “You are just in these judgments, O Holy One, you who are and who were;

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.
