But as for me, I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; Lord, do not delay.

“The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.

Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

Hear me, Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.

The Lord hears the needy and does not despise his captive people.

He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “The Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant.”

In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
