Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous, in burnt offerings offered whole; then bulls will be offered on your altar.

So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant? Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on their God.

Vindicate me, Lord, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered.

While Absalom was offering sacrifices, he also sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, to come from Giloh, his hometown. And so the conspiracy gained strength, and Absalom’s following kept on increasing.

Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
