Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven, and say:

Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”

So Manoah asked him, “When your words are fulfilled, what is to be the rule that governs the boy’s life and work?”

Again David asked, “Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me and my men to Saul?” And the Lord said, “They will.”
