Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.

Your hand will be lifted up in triumph over your enemies, and all your foes will be destroyed.

For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.

“Now will I arise,” says the Lord. “Now will I be exalted; now will I be lifted up.

Lord, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.

Rise up, Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve.

Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.

Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

Arise, Lord, do not let mortals triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence.

Arise, Lord, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.

Arise, Lord! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.

Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.”

Lord, see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death,

Rise up, Lord, confront them, bring them down; with your sword rescue me from the wicked.

Do not hand over the life of your dove to wild beasts; do not forget the lives of your afflicted people forever.
