Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.

An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends and against all sound judgment starts quarrels.

Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention and gain understanding.

My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.

But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.
