An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends and against all sound judgment starts quarrels.

It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.

I never sat in the company of revelers, never made merry with them; I sat alone because your hand was on me and you had filled me with indignation.

A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.

Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.

Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God—

He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables

He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.

Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”

by asking the priests of the house of the Lord Almighty and the prophets, “Should I mourn and fast in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?”

My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion;

Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight, I have power.

You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud.
