Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.

Cause me to understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.

Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness; let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it, for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

Surely I am only a brute, not a man; I do not have human understanding.

I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

“Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways.

But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death.”

The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”

The priest is to examine them, and if there is a white swelling in the skin that has turned the hair white and if there is raw flesh in the swelling,

and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
