When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.

When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.

Then heaven and earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon, for out of the north destroyers will attack her,” declares the Lord.

“So may all your enemies perish, Lord! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had peace forty years.
