Nehemiah 9:5

And the Levites—Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah—said: “Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting.” “Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.

While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king turned around and blessed them.

Standing on the stairs of the Levites were Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani and Kenani. They cried out with loud voices to the Lord their God.

You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.

and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”

Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord or fully declare his praise?

Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord who minister by night in the house of the Lord.

Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.

They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works.

I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”

Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.

Let them praise your great and awesome name— he is holy.

Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

Your right hand, Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand, Lord, shattered the enemy.

and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.

At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the Lord your God—

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

He replied, “Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.”
