While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice.

However, the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.

They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness.
